Norman Ray Maxfeldt, age 71, of Charlotte passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.

Norman had a fierce love for his family and friends, enjoyed tending to his plants and gardening, going on long hill country drives and cooking/ eating great bbq. He was an animal lover and spoiled his pups, grand pups, stray deer, yard armadillos and honeybees. Norman was a craftsman who could make and fix just about anything. He had a silly jingle for just about every occasion (🎵Ooohh, I use to be an Oscar Meyer wiener, but now I'm an old toad frog🎵) and more Normanisms than one could count (loved his family oodles and goodles of baby poodles). He was a talented artist and had a natural knack for drawing and sketching.

He was born in San Antonio on Tuesday, September 13, 1949 to Arthur Peter and Jeneve Mamie (Thompson) Maxfeldt.

Norman is survived by his wife, Peggy Maxfeldt; sons, John A. Henry, Joshua Henry and wife Katrina; daughters, Jessica Rudewick and husband Brent, Sarah Maxfeldt and husband Dakota Robinson, and Genavee Oosterhof and husband Drew; brother, Roy Maxfeldt and wife Gay, and sister, Shirley Biester. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tanner, JJ, Kaleb, Katie and Luke.

Norman was preceded in death by his brother, Vernon Maxfeldt; sisters, Lois Erfurt and Betty Sumrow, and his parents.

He will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm with a memorial service to be held at 4:00pm. Family will be dressed in bright colors to celebrate Norman's life.
