Adolph Herrera, lovingly known to many as "Coyote," passed away on May 31, 2026, in Poteet, Texas, at the age of 58. He was born on May 8, 1968, in Jourdanton, Texas, to Adolfo Herrera and Lucille Carrasco Alexander.

Adolph was a proud South Texan who lived life to the fullest. He was known for his outgoing personality, contagious laughter, and ability to make friends wherever he went. A true jack-of-all-trades, Adolph worked many jobs throughout his life and approached each one with dedication and pride.

For many years, Adolph worked as a roadie in the Tejano and regional Mexican music industry, traveling with well-known bands and artists including David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Intocable, Jay Perez, Los Tigres del Norte, and many others. Music was one of his greatest passions, and he loved being part of the entertainment world. He later became a DJ, earning the name "DJ Coyote," a name that many friends and fans came to know him by.

Adolph was also an entrepreneur alongside his brother, Danny Ray, working in the rebar industry. For a short time, he became a self-proclaimed "Tortilla Slinger," delivering tortillas throughout the community for Chili Bandera Restaurant.

Above all else, Adolph cherished his family. To his children, he was affectionately known as "Dolphin." He loved spending time with his grandchildren and creating memories they will carry with them forever. He was stubborn at times, but his fun-loving spirit, generous heart, and sense of humor made him impossible not to love. He enjoyed life, loved to laugh, and was often the life of the party. He had a sweet tooth and rarely passed up his favorite treats, especially an ice-cold Big Red.

Adolph also loved the Dallas Cowboys and was a devoted fan of the Texas Longhorns, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with family and friends.

Adolph was preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo Herrera and Lucille Carrasco Alexander; his stepfather, Jerry Alexander; his maternal grandparents, Anita Mendez Carrasco and Pedro Carrasco; and his paternal grandparents, Estefana Herrera and Adolfo Herrera.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ruth Herrera; daughters, Brittany Herrera (Mark Estrada), Meghan Rodriguez (Juan Gonzales); son, Jeremy Rodriguez; siblings, Theresa Stewart, Danny Ray Herrera, Christopher Herrera (Vanessa), and Melinda Garza (Rey); and his beloved grandchildren, Delilah Everson, Chloe Everson, Hailey Everson, and Rylee Saucedo.

Adolph leaves behind countless relatives, friends, coworkers, and members of the music community whose lives were enriched by his friendship, humor, and unforgettable personality. His legacy of laughter, love, music, and family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Though he may be gone from our sight, the memories, stories, laughter, and love he shared will remain with us forever.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 9:00am until 10:45 am, followed by the reciting of the rosary at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church starting at 11:30 am with a celebration of mass at 12:00 pm.  Mr. Herrera will be laid to rest at Madre Dolorosa #2 in Poteet, following the services.
