Alvino Garcia Tijerina passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the age of 90. He was born in Charlotte on March 1, 1936 to Hilario Tijerina and Maria (Garcia) Tijerina.
Alvino served in the United States Air Force and worked for the United States Postal Service for 40 years.
A visitation and rosary are scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, starting at 8:30 am, with a reciting of the rosary at 10:00 am. A celebration of mass will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at San Ysidro Cemetery.
