Amanda Lynn
Zulaica-Bustamante
Jul 7, 1987 — Oct 6, 2023
San Antonio
The kind hearted and loving soul, Amanda Lynn Zulaica - Bustamante, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023 surrounded by her family. Amanda was a beloved daughter to her parents, Rebecca and Doroteo Reyna and Father, Joe Zulaica Jr., and a loyal, dedicated wife to Oscar Bustamante. She was an affectionate sister to Allyson Marie Zulaica-Trejo and husband Pablo, brother, Joe Savas Zulaica and wife Estrellita, sister, Ashley Reyna and husband Drew, brother, Marcus Espinosa and wife Cristina, sister, Melaney Reyna, and brother, Charles Reyna. Her devotion as a mother to Brandon Robert Bustamante, Addyson Nicole Bustamante and Renee Bustamante was unmatched. She adored being a grandmother to her grandson, Abel Bustamante.
Amanda's bright smile, warm hugs, and heartfelt laughter will be missed immensely but her legacy of love will live forever in all the lives she touched. She knew no strangers and her love of God and family guided her every move every day. Amanda was the life of every party. Her arrival was always met with excited anticipation. The love and light she brought to any room she entered will continue to shine in the hearts and memories of all those that knew her. To know her was to love her.
Amanda grew up in Pleasanton, Texas, where she was adored by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her unending tender-heartedness was evident as a little girl and it was unchanged as she became an adult. She was truly an angel on earth who lived her life doing God's work. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering, even in the face of her illness. She never let that illness stop her and she met it with a positivity that was inspiring. Family and friends will take comfort in knowing that she was called to her heavenly home where she is now free of illness and pain and resting in God's light and love.
Amanda was surely met with loving arms by those who were called home to heaven before her, her brother, Samuel Joe Zulaica, grandmother, Mary Olga Zulaica, grandmother, Santos Reyna, uncle, David Zulaica, and sister-in-law, Tilly Flores.
Pallbearers will be: Joe Savas Zulaica, Marcus Espinosa, Charles Reyna, Joe Angel Gomez, LeeRoy Ximenez, Mario Zulaica, Larry Ximenez and Larry Romero
