Obituary

Andres Figueroa passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of 39.  He was born on February 17, 1984, in Pearsall, to Fernando P. Figueroa and Janie (Nevarez) Figueroa.

Andres started his 20-year career with the State of Texas by working for Child Protective Services (CPS) for 4 years, before moving to the John B. Connally Unit in Kennedy, where he worked for 16 years, retiring as a Lieutenant.  He spent the time his mother had left here on earth by her side watching The Price is Right, along with watching his favorite shows The Golden Girls and I Love Lucy.  He spent the remainder of his life with family and close friends, living it up, comin' in hot, wherever he chose to be.

He was always the life of the party, taking charge, bringing people out of their comfort zones and living life to the fullest.  Andres always had a smile on his face and could light up any room.  He enjoyed being a leader to any and all adventures.  He was a very loving son, sibling and friend, when he loved you, he showed you.  He was a ride or die person who would show up any time of day if you needed him, he was always that one phone call away.

He was very giving.  In life he gave what he could and in death he continued to give by being an organ donor.  His legacy will continue in 2 other people's lives.  He continues to make the Figueroa and Roberts family humble and proud.

Andres was preceded in death by his parents, Fernando P. and Janie Figueroa.

He is survived by his siblings, Adam Figueroa and Angie Roberts and husband Shaun; nieces, Aaliyah Roberts and Paisley Roberts; along with numerous aunts, uncles and extended family.

A visitation for Andres is scheduled for Monday, September 4, 2023, in the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  On Tuesday, September 5, 2023, a celebration of mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Charlotte, starting at 10:00 am, followed by burial at Charlotte Community Cemetery.
