Anita M. Carrasco of Poteet, passed away in Pleasanton on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was born on June 2, 1929, in Poteet, to Antonio and Blasa (Reyes) Mendez.

Anita is survived by her daughters, Mary Carrasco, and Irene Molina; sons, Antonio Carrasco and wife Victoriana, Danny Carrasco, and Roger Carrasco and wife Melinda; sisters, Margarita Pineda, Dora Guzman, and Maria Campa, and brother, Roger Mendez. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Carrasco; daughter, Lucy Alexander and husband Jerry, and siblings, Maria Garcia, Pasquala Quintera, Emma Villanueva, Juanita Garza, Rosa Sanchez, Manuela Leal, Antonio Mendez, Pablo Mendez, and Jose Mendez.

Visitation and services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, with visitation starting at 10:00 am, and the funeral at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in San Pedro Cemetery.
