It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Arnulfo "Fito" Balderas, who departed this life on February 24, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 15, 1946, in Charlotte, Texas, Fito lived a life rich with family, music, and cherished memories.

Fito was a proud oil field worker, dedicating many years of his life to the petroleum industry. His work ethic and resilience were testament to his character. Known for his infectious smile and joyful spirit, Fito loved music and dancing, often seen leading the way on the dance floor at family gatherings. He had a special knack for teasing his nieces and nephews, filling their lives with laughter and joy. His playful nature and warmth touched the hearts of everyone who knew him, leaving a legacy of love and camaraderie that will endure.

Fito is survived by his sister Clemencia; nieces and nephews Louis, Rudy, Simon, Mary, Molly, Ricky, Jesse, Hector, Elias, Lily, Armando Jr., Tony Jr., Jesse, Sandy, Cindy, Johnny Ray, Prissy, Debbie, Annette, Mark, Eva, Matthew, Lucas, Sally, Billy and Margie.

He is preceded in death by his parents Armando and Eva Balderas; siblings Florinda, Armando, Tony, Elissar and Juanita; nieces and nephews Joe Jr., Lucy, David, and Harvey.

All services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2026 beginning with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., funeral service at 11:00 a.m. and burial following at Charlotte Community Cemetery.
