Arthur R. Longoria, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of the community, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023, at the age of 68. Born on August 3, 1955, in Levelland, Texas, Arthur lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for family.
As a devoted and doting husband, Arthur was the rock of his family. His unwavering commitment to his wife, Donna Longoria, was evident in every aspect of their life together. They created countless memories filled with love, support, and shared adventures. Arthur's love for his family knew no bounds, and he was the glue that held everyone together.
With a heart full of warmth and genuine kindness, Arthur had a remarkable ability to effortlessly cultivate friendships wherever he went. His sincere and approachable nature allowed him to connect with people from all walks of life. Whether it was sharing a laugh at a backyard barbecue or engaging in deep conversations, Arthur always made those around him feel valued and important. Arthur's love for barbecuing was legendary among family and friends. Nothing brought him more joy than gathering loved ones around the grill, savoring delicious homemade meals, and sharing stories of past adventures. A man of integrity and humility, Arthur never spoke ill of others and always chose to see the best in people.
An avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, Arthur eagerly cheered for his favorite team, sharing his love for football with those around him and creating lasting memories of shared victory celebrations and friendly rivalries.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents Julian and Herlinda Longoria; son Greg Alexander; grandson Jalin DeBerry; nephews Julian, Rene Jr., and Carlos Reza; brother-in-law Rene Reze Sr.; and niece Sharla Longoria. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Donna Longoria; daughter Virginia Longoria; sons Arthur Longoria Jr. and wife Cory; and Aaron Longoria; brothers Julian Longoria Jr. and wife Donna, Gilbert Ortiz, and Marty Riojas and wife Beatriz; sisters Rosalinda Reza, Senaida Longoria, Dora Fry and husband Dusty, and Rosemary Fernandez and husband Clem; grandchildren Honesty Rene and Sataiza; 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In honor of Arthur's life and his immeasurable impact, his family invites all relatives, friends, and community members to join them for a public viewing at Hurley Funeral Home, 118 West Oaklawn Road, Pleasanton, TX 78064, on October 16, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Rest peacefully, dear Arthur. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives you touched.
