Aurelio D. Bosquez was born on September 21, 1946, in Christine, Texas, to Manuel and Margaret Bosquez.

He proudly served in the United States Navy from February 25, 1965, to February 22, 1971, aboard the USS Charles, where he served as an Engine Mechanic.

On June 21, 1969, he married Librada Gallegos, and together they shared 53 years of marriage.

He is survived by his daughters, Gloria Bosquez (George) and Vanessa Guzman (Ray); his grandchildren, Rebecca and Matthew Segura, and Aiden and Avery Guzman; his great-grandchildren, Brayden, Tristen, and Mason Hildebrand; his siblings, Dora Llama, Ruben Bosquez (Pauline), Oralia Canales (Manuel), Olivia Trevino, and Mary Ann Delgado; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Margaret Bosquez; his sister, Elida Bosquez; and his beloved wife, Librada Bosquez.

Aurelio worked as a welder and pipeline worker before retiring from Williams Energy. He was also one of the first members to help start the Christine Fire Department in the 1970s alongside David Smith, Cotton Seiffert, and Jesse Esquivel.

He was very involved with St. Ignatius Catholic Church, where he attended his entire life. For many years, he served as the cook for the annual St. Ignatius Church Picnic.

Aurelio was a very hardworking man who was always willing to help others without being asked. He loved working with cattle and horses, but horses were his true passion. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching old Westerns and wrestling.

He was a quiet and private man who truly loved his family. When he spoke, everyone stopped and listened. He loved being there for his daughters and grandchildren, and he and his wife attended all of their extracurricular activities. He was especially involved in supporting his children's and grandchildren's FFA projects.

Aurelio will be remembered for his faith, his strong work ethic, his quiet strength, and the love he had for his family. His legacy will live on through all who knew and loved him.

He is now home resting in peace with his lovely wife.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.  Funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Ignatius Catholic Church with interment to follow at Bautista Cemetery in Christine.
