Obituary

In loving memory of Barbara Martinez Gonzales, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, who entered eternal rest on November 5, 2024. An angelic soul, Barbara graced this world on August 25, 1948, in Pleasanton, TX,  A beacon of light within her community, she found solace in the simple pleasures of life, nurturing her garden with love, dancing to the rhythm of her heart, and cherishing moments with her beloved grandchildren.

With natural grace and a heart full of kindness, Barbara delighted in watching crime TV shows and classic westerns, finding joy in the thrill of mystery and the tales of the wild frontier. A homemaker by trade, she dedicated her days to creating a haven of love and warmth for her family. She adored her grandchildren and would find any reason possible to have them at her house so she could be with them.

Barbara's spirit was one that radiated compassion and generosity, always extending a helping hand to those in need. Her mornings were greeted with the aroma of cappuccino, a daily ritual before venturing out to her favorite thrift shops and the local bakery, embracing life's offerings with a heart full of gratitude.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us honor her memory and celebrate her life at the upcoming events.  The family would like to offer a time of visitation on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with funeral services at 7:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home.
