Barbara "Joney" Joan Kelsay passed away in Pleasanton, on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at the age of 74.  She was born in Jourdanton on July 27, 1949, to Clarence Herbert Kelsay and Berniece (Pady) Kelsay.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Linda Kelsay, Emmitt Kelsay and Mary Jane Kelsay Higgin.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Jean Biela, Bonnie Clayton (John), Sande James (Michael), Bessie Schraeder (Ty), Letha Oelkers (Robert), Joyce Craft (Marshall), Darlene Rogers (Robert), Marlene Rhew and Barbara Johnson (Timmy); and brothers, Herbert Kelsay (Debbie) and James Kelsay (Melinda).

A funeral service for Joney is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am, and the funeral starting at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Oakley Cemetery, located off IH 37 exit Hardy Road head west, and turn left on the first road on the left.  The road ends at the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Theo Rogers, Christopher Schraeder, Timothy Johnson, Diego Gracia, Fred Irby and Nick Gilberath.
