Barbara Jean
O'Riley
Nov 5, 1943 — Sep 27, 2026
Jourdanton
Barbara Jean O'Riley, a spirited soul born on November 5, 1943, in Texas, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, at her home in Jourdanton, Texas. She lived a vibrant life filled with laughter, adventure, and unapologetic honesty. Known for her love of casinos, poker, scratch-offs, and all things gambling, Barbara brought joy to many with her playful nature and sharp wit. In her younger days, Barbara danced for the infamous Jack Ruby, but she found her calling in the world of beauty, spending most of her working life as a talented beautician. Her unique personality shone through in her interactions. She was wonderfully stubborn, always spoke her mind, and kept everyone on their toes with her sense of humor. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, she never missed watching them play on TV, cheering them on from her recliner. Barbara was also a loving dog lover, and her four-legged friends brought her countless hours of happiness. She will be buried in Charlotte, TX, with private services.
Barbara was preceded in death by: father Ray Hogan; mother and step-father Laura Ruth and John Harrison Finch; and her son David John Finch. She is survived by her daughter Candis Polasek; grandchildren Erica Mia Guerra and her husband Armando; and James David Romo and his wife Lauren; and great-grandchildren Solomon David and Sara Elizabeth Romo.
Barbara will be dearly missed, but her indomitable spirit and lively personality will forever remain in our hearts.
