Beatrice Balzen passed away at her home on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born on March 7, 1941, in San Antonio, to Robert Boehme and Dolphia (Haby) Boehme.

Beatrice was a loving wife and mother.  She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, along with the Medina County Quilters Guild, and also a 10-year member of General Federation of Women's Club.  She was involved with the Atascosa County Extension Fair, where she entered numerous items and won many awards.

Beatrice is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wayne Balzen; daughters, Sheila Caron (Tracy), Deanne Mangold (Mike) and Janet Boehme (Jared); grandchildren, Stephanie Caron, Douglas Caron, Derek Mangold, Morgan Mangold, Brooke McCollum (Erick), Jenna Boehme, Jillian Boehme and Jaylie Boehme; great-grandchildren, Annorah Dingler, Lena Dingler and Spencer McCollum; and 2 sisters-in-law, Jean Ann Marty and Marjean Boehme.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dolphia Boehme; brothers, Welton Boehme (JoAnn), John Boehme and Clovis Boehme (Dorothy Jean); brother-in-law, Wayne Marty; and nephew, Gaylon Boehme.

Pallbearers will be Douglas Caron, Derek Mangold, Stephanie Caron, Morgan Mangold, Brooke McCollum and Jenna Boehme.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jillian Boehme, Jaylie Boehme, Annorah Dingler and Lena Dingler.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, starting with a visitation at 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm, followed by a mass at 6:00 pm.  Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at St. Louis School Braden Keller Center,1410 Amelia St. Castroville, TX 78009, the rosary will recited at 10:00 am, with burial to follow at Quihi Cemetery, off of CR 4517.
