Beatrice Garcia Garza passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, surrounded by family at the age of 94.  She was a life-long resident of Atascosa County.

She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Castillo of Leming, Texas, Linda Nino (Steve) of Pleasanton, Texas, and Esther Perez of San Antonio, Texas; and son, Robert Garza, Jr. (Mary Ellen). Beatrice also had 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert Garza, Sr.; parents, Guadalupe Garcia and Petra Mata Garcia; step-mother, Margarita Garcia; brothers, Isabel Garcia, Masimino Garcia, Esteban Garcia and Jose Angel Garcia; and sisters, Bertha Vasquez, Dominga Bautista and Adelaida Escobar.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Leming, starting with a visitation at 10:00 am, a reciting of the rosary at 10:30 am and a celebration of mass at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Robert.

Serving as pallbearers are Ernest Castillo Jr., Mike Sorola Jr., Robert Jordan Garza III, Nathaniel Jared Garza, Charles Anthony Perez Jr., Steven Matthew Perez, Gabriel Rene Garza, Frank Anthony Alaquinez III, Matthew Ethan Garza, Mark Xavier Sorola, David Francisco Cobb, and Jeremiah Emmanuel Garza.
