Beatriz (Sandoval) Garcia passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 28, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas Beatriz was born on Sunday, March 20, 1938, to Jesus Sandoval and Victoria (Diaz) Sandoval. She lived a full and happy life.

Beatriz grew up on the southwest side of San Antonio for most of her childhood and attended South San High School. She pursued her passion of caring for others in Nursing School and began her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Robert B. Green Hospital. She would go on to pursue a second career as a teacher's aide at Harlandale Independent School District where she retired in June, 1999.  She was a devout catholic and member of St. Ignatius Martyr in Christine, Texas where she served as a lector to read scripture (in Spanish) during Sunday services.

In addition to being a devoted wife, Beatriz was a fun loving mother and grandmother, who was always interested and involved in her children and grandchildren's activities. Beatriz enjoyed dancing, cooking, gardening and exploring the outdoors of Texas, but most of all she enjoyed doing these things and so much more with the people she loved. She was a beautiful person on the inside and out. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Victoria Sandoval; husband, Lawrence Garcia; daughter, Cynthia Gutierrez; sister, Genevieve Reyes and grandson Cesar Frausto.

Beatriz is survived by her loving children, Debra Garcia, Misty Dawn Brotherton, Richard Gutierrez, Lawrence Garcia III, Alvin Garcia (Tina), Steve Garcia; sister, Theresa Miller; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and extended family.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, starting at 9:00 am until 11:00 am, with a reciting of the rosary at 11:00 am, and a mass at 11:30 am.  Services will conclude at the church.
