Betty Villareal, a beloved homemaker and devoted wife, passed away peacefully at the age of 91. She was a pillar of strength and love for her family, cherished as a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Betty's unwavering commitment and dedication were reflected in her 75 years of marriage, a testament to enduring love and companionship.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents Vicente and Baldomera Serrata; husband of 75 years of marriage Eutemio Villareal; siblings Juan Serrata, Gregorio Serrata, Matias Serrata, Amelia Garcia, Chalela Garcia, Andrea Segura, and Virginia Delgado; daughter-in-law Melba Villareal and son-in-law Bobby Esquivel.

She is survived by her sons' Anselmo S. Villareal, Sr. and Arturo Villareal, daughter Josie Esquivel; sisters Santos Quintanilla and Felicita Llamas (J.J.); grandchildren Anselmo Villareal, Jr. (Brook), Alonzo Villareal, Homer Garza (Rosie), Lamar Hassette (Jimmy), Laura Ridgway, Jessica Montez (Rey), Eutemio Villareal, Jr., (Shea), Brandon Esquivel; Great-grandchildren Gunner Montez, Joseph Villareal, Colsen Villareal, Cross Smith, Raylee Montez, Brighton Adams, Bryson Villareal, Bryleigh Villareal, Dylan Antu, Alayna Villareal, Krista Cantu, Garrett Garza, Joshua Garza, Jimmy Allen Hassette, Kelsie Goosh, Luke Ridgway, Logan Ridgway, Kamryn B. Esquivel, and Hendrix R. Esquivel; and 2 great-great-grandchildren Hunter and Zoe Medrano.

Honoring Betty's life, a visitation will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Hurley Funeral Chapel from 3:00-9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Friday, August 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM will be her funeral mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tilden, Texas.  Interment to follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Tilden.
