Beulah was born on November 21, 1930 in Conroe, Texas. She passed away in her home in Cleburne on October 26, 2024 at the age of 93.

She grew up in Pleasanton, Texas and graduated from Pleasanton High School.  On March 1, 1948 in Floresville, Texas she married her high school sweetheart, Horace Royal.
They started a family in Pleasanton and eventually settled in San Antonio with their 5 children.

Beulah attended beauty school and became a cosmetologist. She spent many years working in that field even devoting her later years to women in nursing homes in Atascosa County.

She loved the Lord and made sure that she instilled that same love in her children. They were active in church in both San Antonio and Pleasanton.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents William Komas Kitchen and Mary Jane Blankenship Kitchen, as well as her loving husband of 52 years, Horace Waide Royal, Sr.

She is survived by her sister, Janie Marie Harper. Beulah is also survived by her children Collene Myers, Kay Spurlin (husband-Cliff-deceased), Waide Royal (wife-Lynn), Henrietta Cavanaugh (husband-John-deceased), Judy Billingsley (husband-Danny), adoptive daughter (daughter of Judy) Sandra Parrish (husband-Greg).

She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton.  Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Pleasanton, followed immediately with interment in Pleasanton City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
