Billye Rae Pino, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away on January 9th, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 7th, 1944, in Poteet, Texas to Joy Brister and Cecil Perrin.
Billye will be fondly remembered as an exceptional seamstress and quilter whose talents brought beauty and warmth into the lives of those around her. Her skillful hands created countless cherished pieces that will continue to bring comfort for generations to come.
As a military wife who stood by her husband Cristobal Pino's side through thick and thin, Billye exemplified strength and resilience. Her unwavering support was a source of inspiration for all who knew her.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: Paul Christopher Pino (Sheila), Patrick Carl Pino, Jeffrey Thomas Pino (Diana), Cora Jane Ohlgren (Craig); grandchildren: Brittany (Brandon), Courtney (Aaron), Payton (Chance), Julianna, Joslyn, Christa, Collin, Cristian; great-grandchildren: Brooke, Bradley, Briella, and Leah.
Her memory will also be cherished by her sister Marilyn Kay Ventrcek; brothers J.W. "PeeWee" Kubish (Kathy) and Leonard Kubish.
Billye is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Cristobal Pino along with other loved ones including her mother Joy Kubish, stepfather Hubert Kubish and brothers Buddy Hurt and H.E. "Tooter" Kubish.
Billye is a 1962 graduate of Pleasanton High School. Upon marrying Chris, she spent the next 20+ years living across the country and abroad raising her family during Chris' military service. Upon retirement, Chris and Billye made their way back to Pleasanton where she resided for the last 34 years.
Though our hearts ache at the loss of such an incredible woman, we find solace in knowing that she has left behind memories that will forever live within us—a testament to the beautiful life she lived.
Rest peacefully dear Billye with your loving husband Chris—you have left an indelible mark on this world that can never be erased.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 626 Market Street Pleasanton TX; followed with a Funeral Mass at 2:30 pm. Interment will follow in Brister Cemetery, off FM 791 outside Campbellton.
