Blake Wilson Higdon, a friendly and colorful character, passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 42. Born in Jourdanton, Texas on September 6, 1982, he was known for his love of interacting with truck drivers over the CB radio, even attaching an antenna to his wheelchair for better reception.

A resident known for his carefree spirit, Blake could often be spotted riding around town in his wheelchair, soaking in the sights and sounds of his community. His passion for tinkering with cars was unmatched, though his tendency to disassemble things without remembering how to reassemble them brought laughter and amusement to all who knew him.

Blake leaves behind his son, Charles Banta; his mother, Carolyn "Elaine" Higdon; sister, Shelly Higdon; brothers, David Higdon, Burnard Higdon III and Steven Macneil.  He was preceded in death by his father, Burnard Higdon.

Though his time with us may have been brief, the impact of Blake's presence will resonate forever in our hearts.

Per Blakes' wishes he will be cremated and then laid to rest next to his father in the private cemetery.
