Bob
Farrar
Nov 9, 1950 — Mar 1, 2025
Lago Vista
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Farrar, born on November 9, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas, to Joe and Helen Farrar. Bob passed away on March 1, 2025.
Bob was one of four children. At the age of 17, he met his wife, Violet, on a blind date, and they were married when they were 18. They were married 55 years until Violet's passing in July 2024. He was heartbroken at her passing, and longed to be with her again.
Bob is survived by his son, Marcus Farrar, and his wife, Diana; his daughter, Laura Kau, and her husband, Bronc Kau; and his two beloved grandchildren, Sloan and Brody Kau. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Diane Farrar, and his niece and nephew, Julie and Jimmy.
Throughout his life, Bob cherished his family and grandkids, always finding joy in their company as well as the extended Kau family grandchildren. He was known for his humor, storytelling, and fond reminiscing of old times. After his retirement, Bob remained active, often working or tinkering in his garage and treasure hunting.
Preceded in death by his sister, Barbara, and brothers, Ray and Jim. Bob was the last of his surviving siblings. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who loved him, but his memory will continue to inspire and warm the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Bob Farrar. Your love, laughter, and stories will never be forgotten.
