Carlos O. Guevara passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at his home in Leming.  He was born on April 17, 1956, in Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Oscar Guevara and maria De La Luz (Ovalle) Guevara.

Carlos was a hard worker, dedicating much of his life to the construction industry as a roofing contractor. He took immense pride in his work, always striving to provide the best for his loved ones. Outside of work, Carlos had a passion for music, enjoying every moment spent playing his guitar and singing his favorite tunes. His vibrant personality shone through in every family gathering, where laughter and music were always in abundance.

He cherished his family deeply, with his wife, Yolanda, standing by his side through thick and thin. Perhaps his greatest joy came from playing with his grandchildren, where he found endless joy and laughter, creating memories.

Carlos was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his loving wife, Yolanda Guevara; mother, Maria De La Luz; daughter, Guadalupe Cardenas (Francisco); sons, Carlos G. Guevara (Maricella) and Antonio Guevara (Gloria); 12 grandchildren, Carlos, Priscilla, Marisol, Mateo, marco, Antonio, Kruze, Victoria, Irene, Jocelyne, Francisco, Carlos and Sophia; 3 great-grandchildren, Luka, Leon and Elle; brothers, Arturo Guevara, Oscar Guevara, Gonzalo Guevara and Fernando Guevara; and sisters, Carolina Vasquez, Luz Maria Guevara and Rosamaria Siller.

Funeral services for Carlos will be held at Hurley Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a funeral service at 7:00 pm. A second visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, starting at 8:30 am until 10:00 am, followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, located at the corner FM 536 and 281 in Leming, where Carlos will be buried.
