Carolyn Louise
Liska
Jan 8, 1950 — Feb 12, 2026
Pleasanton
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carolyn Louise Liska, who departed from this world on February 12, 2026, at the age of 76. Carolyn was born on January 8, 1950, and spent her life in Pleasanton, Texas, where she made a lasting impact on her family and community.
Carolyn was known for her feisty spirit and friendly nature, making her a beloved figure among friends and family alike. An avid lover of the outdoors, Carolyn found joy in hunting and exploring nature. However, it was her passion for country western dancing that truly shone; she cherished the moments spent dancing with friends and sharing laughter on the dance floor.
A proud member of the Wilson County Historical Society, Carolyn dedicated her time to preserving local history and culture. She also volunteered with the Floresville Opry, where her creativity and commitment enriched the community's artistic endeavors. Additionally, as a lifetime member of the San Antonio Rodeo, she fostered a deep appreciation for the cowboy spirit and the traditions that come with it.
Carolyn leaves behind her cherished daughters, Carrie Liska and Sarah Hammons and her husband James and her grandchildren Ethan and Dylan Hammons. She is survived by many friends whose lives she touched with kindness and warmth.
Funeral services for Carolyn will take place on February 19, 2026, at Hurley Funeral Home with a public viewing from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 7:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in Falls City Cemetery at a later date.
Carolyn Louise Liska will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
