Cathy Nell (Curtis) Swaim passed away at the age of 65, at her home in Pleasanton, Texas. She was born on October 4, 1959, in Dilley, Texas to Ray and JoAnn (Bierschwale) Curtis.

Cathy's journey through life was not always easy, but it made her into the generous person we know and love.  She was always ready to step up, especially when it was for the kids.  Looking to the next generation was her way of making a better life and future for others.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Curtis and JoAnn Williams; her in-laws, Franklin and Dean Swaim; and her sister Cynthia (Cindy Curtis) Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Wayde; children, Wayne McDonald and wife Katie, Wacey Swaim and wife Mandy, and Nelson Swaim; grandchildren, Jacob, Nolan and Macey McDonald and Grayson and Isabella Swaim; sister, Carolyn (Curtis) Jennings and husband David; Jason Curtis and her trusted aide, Ms. Lucy along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of life is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 2:00 pm.  Services will conclude at the funeral home.
