Poteet
Cecilia Dolores Romero, age 68, was born on April 10, 1958, in San Diego, CA, to Juan Antonio Romero and Margaret Dorothy Flores. She passed away on September 17, 2026, in Poteet, Tx.
Cecilia was a woman with a big heart, a caring spirit, and a genuine love for others. Known for her generosity, playful personality, and wonderful sense of humor, she had a way of bringing laughter and joy to those around her. She was young at heart, full of life, and always willing to give of herself to help someone in need.
A graduate of Rim of the World High School, Cecilia went on to work for the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office and later as a pharmacy technician. Throughout much of her life, she devoted herself to caring for others, a role that came naturally to her because of her compassionate and nurturing heart.
Above all, family was Cecilia's greatest priority. She was deeply devoted to her parents, making sure their needs were met and their health and well-being were always attended to. Her love and concern extended to her siblings, whom she frequently called to check on, never hesitating to ask how they were feeling or whether they were taking care of themselves. Her thoughtful nature and attention to detail were simply her way of showing how much she loved them.
Cecilia was a woman of Christian faith whose loyalty, kindness, and selfless love were evident in the way she lived her life. She gave freely of her time, her care, and her heart, never expecting anything in return. Those who knew her will forever remember her warm spirit, her laughter, and the unwavering love she had for her family.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her beloved best friend, Mary Alice Garcia.
She is survived by her loving parents, Juan and Margaret Romero; her siblings, Edward Romero and wife Constance, Tino Romero, Eric Romero and wife Christine, and Yvonne Olson and husband Jeff; along with extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Although Cecilia will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that the love she so freely gave will continue to live on in their hearts. Her life was a beautiful reminder that the greatest gift we can give one another is our time, our kindness, and our love.
Her caring heart, joyful laughter, and unconditional devotion to family will never be forgotten.
