Charlotte Nell Lewis passed peacefully June 5, 2023 in Pleasanton, Texas. Charlotte was born May 8, 1934 in Mount Gainor, Texas, to Charles Culberson Quick and Theatus Egger Quick. Charlotte spent a majority of her life in San Antonio where she developed a deep affinity for the San Antonio Spurs and frozen margaritas.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Lewis of Reno, Nevada, and sisters Wilma "Billie" DePree and Margaret "Margie" Beam of San Antonio, Texas.

Charlotte is survived by her children; son James N. Lewis, Jr., and wife Sandy of Roanoke, Texas; daughter Sheri and husband James Teal of Tilden, Texas; and daughter Donna Schuster of Diboll, Texas; as well as eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren who affectionately called her "Memaw."

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of Charlotte's caregivers for their care and companionship over the years; Rose, Rosie and Teresa; the Trinity Hospice Team; the staff of Argent Court; and Pleasanton South Nursing and Rehab.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects June 16, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlotte's name can be made to the South Texas Recovery Foundation, PO Box 233, Three Rivers, Texas, 78071.
