Mrs. Chester Gail Lee, 76, of Campbellton, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on December 14, 2022.  She was born August 12, 1946 in Poteet, to Norman Horace Roane and Earla Jean (Cotter) Roane.  Chester was an original member of the Campbellton Baptist Church and attended the Cowboy Church in George West. She loved to travel.  She was an avid deer hunter and fisherwoman; enjoying the great outdoors and all it had to offer.  She was a very intelligent woman with great business sense and an outgoing personality.  She was a people person and enjoyed striking up conversations with everyone she would meet.  Chester was a great woman with a smile that will be remembered forever.

Chester is preceded in death by her parents Norman and Earla Roane; and her brother Norman Earl Roane.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Lee; sons, Ken Hierholzer and his wife Julie, Kevin Hierholzer and his wife Jahnna; daughter, Krista Berkes and her husband Kurt; brother, Ira Roane; sister, Joan Roane; grandchildren, Kolby Berkes and his wife Brooke, Coleman Berkes, Katie Havelka and her husband Camron, Klaire Berkes, Slaton, Jessi, Jace and Kylie Hierholzer; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Cooper Berkes; and numerous other relatives and friends.

There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home-Pleasanton.  Funeral Services will be Monday, December 19, 2022, at 10:30 am, at First Baptist Church of Pleasanton with interment following at Campbellton Cemetery.
