Christina Sorola, a beloved matriarch and devoted member of her community, passed away in Leming, Tx on November 28, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on February 21, 1939, in Fairview, Texas, Christina lived a life characterized by love, generosity, and steadfast faith. She was a proud daughter of Pablo and Pilar (Garcia) Robles.

Christina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Sorola, as well as her sons, Henry R. Sorola and David Sorola, her parents, Pablo and Pilar Robles, her siblings, Chon Robles, Roberto Robles, Amelio Robles, Aniceto Robles, Evaristo Robles, Pauline Robles, Rosa Olivares, Beatrice Dominguez, and Janie Arocha as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Amari Irvin, Azalyia Hernandez, and Iris Sorola.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Melinda Mendez (Richard); sons, Joe Louis Sorola, Oscar Sorola (Virginia), Albert Sorola (Mary); grandchildren, Stephanie Borda, Henry Sorola, Jr., Gary Sorola, Adrian Sorola, Oscar Sorola, Jr., David Sorola, Jr., Loren Sorola, Jacob Sorola, Kobi Sorola, Fernando Villarreal, Kristopher Villarreal, Angelica Villarreal, Amy Mendez, Justin Mendez, Steven Mendez, Jenny Garcia, Jamie Garcia and Amy Garcia. In addition, she leaves behind 29 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

A devoted Catholic and committed member of the Guadalupana society, Christina's life was marked by her rich involvement in church and school events, where her love for community shone brightly. She was known for her generosity, cooking and hospitality, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She loved to sing and dance, often lighting up gatherings with her joyful spirit. Christina's love of singing was often accompanied by her husband as he played his guitar, creating cherished memories for her family. Above all, her greatest joy came from her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were the delight of her life.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hurley Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Guadalupe in Leming. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Christina's spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she loved, reminding us of the importance of family, faith, and community. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered.
