Christine Mae Ventrcek, 94, passed away on January 22, 2023, in Pleasanton, Texas.  She was born to George Washington Boeker and Hilda Louise (Baring) Boeker in Milam County in 1928.

They moved to Jourdanton when she was 5, and she attended Jourdanton school thru the fifth grade.  They then moved to Dobrowolski where she attended and graduated from Charlotte High School.

Christine married Johnnie Ventrcek in 1947 and became a housewife and mother.  She went to work for Mercy Hospital and was employed there for over 30 years.  When she retired, she moved to Pleasanton Senior Apartments and remained there for 28 years enjoying her many friends, playing bingo and having pot luck meals.

Christine is survived by her son, Johnnie Dale (Butch) Ventrcek and wife Ernestine; and daughter, Sharon Mangum and husband Randy; her 5 grandchildren, Derek Ventrcek and wife Myra, Jackie Price and husband Eric, Clay Mangum and wife Melissa, Colby Mangum and wife Teressa, Travis Klaus and fiancé Jessica; along with 11 great-grandkids and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Ventrcek; daughter, Linda Klaus; sister, Melba Novosad; and brother George Boeker.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Jourdanton City Cemetery at 10:00 am.
