C.L. Friend, born September 22, 1945, in Dierks, Arkansas, passed away on May 29, 2026, from natural causes. His beloved wife, Darlene Friend, born February 27, 1948, in Tennessee Ridge Tennessee, passed away on June 12, 2026, also from natural causes. Both were residents of Floresville, Texas

Together, C.L. and Darlene shared a remarkable love story that spanned more than six decades. They were married on March 9, 1964, and built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and devotion to one another.

They raised their family in southwest Arkansas, where C.L. worked for Weyerhaeuser. Through the years, they created a home filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Their greatest pride and joy was their family, and they devoted themselves to providing a strong foundation for their children and future generations.

C.L. and Darlene are survived by their children, Donnie Friend and Tammie Jordon; C.L.'s brothers, Lonnie Friend and Jimmy Friend; and Darlene's brother, Kenneth. They also leave behind three cherished grandchildren and six treasured great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by their love, guidance, and example.

Though they departed this life only two weeks apart, those who knew them find comfort in knowing they are together once again. Their legacy lives on through the family they nurtured, the values they instilled, and the countless lives they touched throughout their years.

They will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved them.
