Cynthia Ann Garner Brooks, age 90, passed in peace on Friday, May 29th, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on April 15th, 1936 in Tahlequah, OK to Wallace C Garner and Clara Richards.

Cynthia served in the Navy from 1956-1958 where she managed the jet engines on the ships. After discharge she was a secretary for the US Government for a number of years.

She enjoyed playing piano for the church during her time in Pleasanton. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Cynthia enjoyed spending time playing puzzles, painting and being with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Ibarra, Kirstie Lea Ginnodo, grandchildren, Scarlett Quintero, Desiree Chavez, and Trey Ibarra, great-grandchildren, Quaid, Kratos, Emily and Omorfia, and siblings, Mary Ann, Wayne, Carolyn.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026 with a visitation from 9am - 11am at Hurley Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service in the Hurley Chapel at 11:00 am.   Interment will follow with military honors at Pleasanton City Cemetery.
