Born on August 17, 1948 into the loving family of James and Josephine Boyd, who preceded him in death, Danny grew to be a man of many talents and immense heart. His journey of love and companionship with his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Shirley Boyd, was a testament to his steadfastness and devotion to his family.

Danny was a loving father to Benjamin and Susan. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Boyd of Pleasanton, Texas; his daughter, Susan Schultz, and her husband, Jonathan, of Whitney, Texas; his son, Benjamin Boyd, and his wife, Daphne, of Jourdanton, Texas. His legacy continues through his four grandchildren, Daeton, Cheyenne, Elliotte, and Arizona Boyd, who will miss their grandfather's larger-than-life presence and endless stories.

As a seasoned truck driver, Danny brought joy to many with his natural flair for storytelling. His passion for music was evident in the songs he wrote and played on his guitar, leaving a lasting impression in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to listen. A talented welder and builder of race cars, Danny's youthful racing stories were a glimpse into the adventurous spirit that he carried throughout his life.

Danny's love for discussing cars, politics, and his deep-rooted faith made him a respected figure in his community. His ability to make people laugh and his commitment to living a life of purpose and passion made him a man larger than life.

Viewing services will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton, Texas, on Monday, January 8th, 2024, from 3 PM to 8 PM. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, followed by interment at Pleasanton City Cemetery.
