It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Lee Brewer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was born on July 3, 1947, in Oroville, California to Wiley Brewer and Dora (Irons) Williams. After a life well-lived, David passed on October 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
David graduated from Okemah Oklahoma High School, class of 1965 and furthered his education at Oklahoma State Technical School where he graduated in 1967. After his studies, he served in the Oklahoma National Guard for 6 years in the 45th division and was honorably discharged in 1974.
David worked for Sun Oil Company for 25 years. He was an accomplished skilled contractor and owner of Dash Enterprises, Inc. He built and remodeled homes throughout Bexar and Atascosa County. His work ethic and dedication were evident in his 22 years of self-employment. David led a fulfilling life, characterized by moments shared hunting, fishing, camping, watching football, basketball, Nascar racing, sightseeing and most of all spending time with his family.
David is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Rosa Linda Brewer, sons, David Brewer Jr. and wife Kandice, Richard Stafford; daughters, Annette Dozier of Tecumseh, OK, Roxanne Stafford; brothers, Edward Brewer and wife, Wendy of Pleasanton, TX, Nathaniel Brewer and wife Lanita of Enid, OK; Sister, Vivian Moffitt of Checotah, OK; grandchildren, Kyle, Corey, Brent, Darren, Jayde, Damian, David, Isiah, RJ, Brittney; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Jazmyne, Dani, Blake, Laylonnie, Ruben, Jocelyn and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Brewer, mother, Dora Williams, and sister, Betty Stacy.
A visitation to honor and celebrate David's life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting at 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a memorial service to begin at 3:00 pm. Services will conclude in the chapel and David will be laid to rest in Oklahoma.
