Delia Benitez Guerra, a beloved member of the Pleasanton community, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025. She was born in Pleasanton to Isaac and Emelia (Gonzalez) Benitez, where her roots grew deep among family and friends.

Delia dedicated much of her life to her career in retail, beginning at Pages, moving on to Maxine's, and later spending an extraordinary 32 years at Dowdy's. Her warm smile and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on all who met her.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Adolfo "A.D." Guerra; her parents, Isaac and Emelia Benitez; her sisters, Amelia Arguijo, Calistra Ortiz, Velia Arguijo, and Josie Ramos; her brothers, Valdemar Benitez and Jesse Benitez; her granddaughter, Kyndall Rena Coble; and her great-granddaughter, Araceli Layn Salinas.

Delia's memory will be cherished by her surviving family: her daughter, Nichole Pool; her sons, Michael Guerra and wife Elizabeth, Jeffery Guerra and wife Celia, and Gerald Guerra and wife Diana; as well as her siblings, Isaac Benitez Jr., Maggie Lopez, and Sally Garza. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will continue her legacy of love and family.

Her visitation will be Friday June 27, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM at San Ysidro Cemetery on Saturday June 28, 2025

Delia will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, strength, and devotion to her family. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched.
