In Loving Memory of Delia Oliva

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Delia Oliva, who left this world on April 3, 2026.

Delia Oliva was born on June 20, 1962, in Jourdanton, Texas, and spent most of her life in Poteet, Texas, where she built a life centered on family, love, and resilience.

Delia was a woman defined by her unwavering love, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family. She carried herself with grace through life's trials and gave endlessly of herself to those she loved. Her presence was a source of comfort, her words a source of wisdom, and her love a constant that never wavered.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Armando Herrera of Poteet, Texas, whose life was deeply intertwined with hers through years of love, partnership, and shared memories. Their bond was one built on resilience, and enduring commitment. Through life's highs and hardships, they stood side by side, creating a foundation of strength for their family. His love for Delia was evident in every moment, and her passing leaves a space that can never be filled.

Above all, Delia was a Mother. She was blessed with five sons, each of whom she loved fiercely and unconditionally. She carried the joy and pride of her boys throughout her life, while also carrying the immeasurable weight of loss with the passing of her eldest son, Alejandro Robles Jr., a pain she bore with strength and faith. Her love for all her children, both here and gone, remained eternal and unbreakable.

She was a cherished mother of Matthew Robles, Jason Robles, Jacob Robles, and Joshua Robles; sister to Evaristo Oliva Jr., Marie Saenz, Edward Oliva Sr., Michael Oliva Sr., Daniel Oliva, Samuel Oliva, and Jesus Oliva; a beloved aunt and friend deeply loved by her family and respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in her 14 grandchildren, in whom the values she instilled, the lives she shaped, and the love she gave so freely will continue far beyond her lifetime.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit endures in every lesson, every memory, and every moment of love she left behind.

We take comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with those who went before her, and forever watching over us.

She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A visitation and rosary are scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Hurley Funeral Home, from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:30 pm. Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 10, 2026, starting at 11:00 am at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rutledge Cemetery.
