It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dolores Herrera, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, who left us peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 88.

Dolores was born on October 12, 1936, in Pleasanton, to Nicolas and Juanita (Salazar) Guajardo.

She loved and served the Lord. Dolores was very giving and loved helping her family anyway she could.

Dolores is survived by her sons, Irrael "Roy" Herrera and wife Sandra, Ismael Herrera, and Felipe Herrera and wife Maria; daughter, Elaria Villarreal (Victor); brothers, Joe Guajardo and Jesse Guajardo; sister, Mary Benavidez, and son-in-law, Nemencio Tijerina. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by her daughter, Senaida Tijerina, and her parents, Nicolas and Juanita Guajardo.

The family would especially like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregiver's, granddaughter, Jeana Tijerina; Katlyn DeLoach; her amazing nurse, Angela Romero; and Terry Montoya.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, starting at 4:00 pm followed by a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 10:00 am, in the chapel of Hurley Funeral Home. Interment will follow in San Pedro Cemetery.
