With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Dominga Garcia Aguero, who left this world peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on September 2, 1930, in Poteet, Texas, Dominga lived her life dedicated to family, faith, and the joys of nature. She embodied the spirit of a hardworking homemaker, nurturing her loved ones and cultivating beauty around her.

Dominga was a true gardener at heart, having a remarkable green thumb that she put to good use by planting shade trees and vibrant roses. Her love for tending to her garden extended to feeding the birds that visited her yard. With a passion for the simple pleasures of life, she took joy in the farm life, raising chickens alongside her family. A true jack of all trades, she tackled many projects around the house, including building a chicken coop and performing repairs, always with love and determination.

She cherished the sweet comfort of homemade peach cobbler made by her sister and found solace in the teachings of her Bible, finding strength and guidance in her faith. In her younger days, she delighted in dancing, often while doing chores around the house and grabbing one of the kids to be her dance partner, bringing laughter and joy to her home.

Dominga was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Lucy Aguero and Adela Nino; sons Raymond (Eloisa), Ruben (Lupe Ramos and Janie Aguero), Rudy (Stella), and Margarito (Estella) Aguero; brothers Eduardo Garcia Jr. and Isabel Garcia; sisters Josie Lopez, Victoria Garcia, Manuela Gonzalez (Manuel), and Gloria Gutowski (John); as well as 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Eduardo and Siria Garcia, her cherished husband Bernabe Aguero, her brother Antonio Garcia, and sisters Margarita Felan, Delia Valenzuela, and Paula Ledezma, along with her son-in-law Richard Nino.

All funeral services will be held on August 8, 2025, beginning with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 a.m., rosary at 11:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 11:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Jourdanton.
