Domingo Ramos,
Sr.
Mar 5, 1950 — Jun 10, 2026
Jourdanton
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Domingo Ramos, Sr., who peacefully departed this life on June 10, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on March 5, 1950, in Christine, Texas, Domingo lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and love for his family and community.
Domingo was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Connie Ramos, with whom he shared 45 cherished years of marriage until her passing. Together, they raised a vibrant family rooted in the values of love and togetherness. Domingo is survived by his loving children, Delma Ramos Friedman, Lee Ramos, Karen West (Stephen), and Domingo Ramos Jr. (Cindy), as well as his treasured grandchildren, Theresa Friedman, James West, Stephen West, Noah Ramos, and Neal Ramos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Seledonio and Catarina Ramos; his sisters, Theresa Ortiz and Rosita Vargas; and his brother, Geronimo "Jerry" Ramos. Domingo is also survived by his sisters, Clemencia Pesqueda (Leandro), Martha Martinez, Desedinia Sambrano (Daniel), and Delia Rodriguez (Jesse), who will remember him fondly.
He diligently pursued his Associate's Degree in Agricultural Business, demonstrating his commitment to education and his passion for agriculture. Together with his family, he lovingly tended to the family ranch, creating a legacy built on hard work and perseverance. To provide for his growing family with Connie, he went to work in the oil field, where he devoted 43 years of his life, and his strong work ethic and determination earned him the respect of all who knew him. Domingo retired in 2015 to devote his life to his beloved wife, children, and grandchildren. Domingo will be missed by all those who knew him, especially his family.
A celebration of Domingo's life will be held at the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Pleasanton, Texas on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Services will start with a visitation, which will begin at 10:00 A.M., followed by a Rosary at 11:00 A.M. and a Mass at 11:30 A.M., providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather in remembrance of this remarkable man.
Domingo will be laid to rest at Charlotte Community Cemetery following the Mass. His memory will live on through the love and stories shared by his family, friends, and community at the Father John Wagner Hall, also known as The St. Rose of Lima Parish Hall in Charlotte, Texas. We invite all family and friends to join us in fellowship at the hall after burial services.
As we honor Domingo Ramos, Sr., let us remember him not only for the roles he played as a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend but also for the indelible mark he left upon all our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
