Don Lee Norwood

Don Lee Norwood, a devoted husband, father, and servant of God, peacefully departed this world at the age of 92. He was married to Beverly Davenport for an incredible (70) years. Don is survived by his loving wife, along with their children, Donna Johnston, Susan Hernandez, Michael Norwood, Linda Asquith, and Janie Houdmann.

Their beloved daughter, Judith Burton, and grandson, Chad Burton, reside in Heaven, leaving behind a legacy of joy and love. Though we feel their absence, their spirits continue to inspire us. Don is the grandfather of 18 grandchildren, and great grandfather of 32, all of whom were blessed to be part of his life.

A proud Navy veteran, Don honorably and bravely served from 1949 to 1953, in the Korean War. His commitment to service continued as he dedicated his life to the ministry, serving as a Church of Christ Minister and as a Missionary in India. Don was a man of God, whose love and compassion touched the hearts of many.

His impact is evident in the deep affection he received from family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. As we remember, Don Lee Norwood, we celebrate a life well-lived and will forever cherish the memories of a man who devoted himself to love, faith, and service.

Graveside services and the Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, starting at 10:30 AM with the graveside service in the Sabinal Cemetery, 2700 Fisher Avenue in Sabinal, Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM at the Church of Christ Church, 1003 N. Main Street in Pleasanton.
