Donna Kay Whitmire was born on November 20, 1958, in Fredericksburg, Texas. She passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2026, at 7:39 a.m., surrounded by her children. Daughter of Ida Louise and Charles Lincoln Middleton, Donna was raised in San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country-a place that remained close to her heart throughout her life.

In 1976, she married David Offenbaker. Although their marriage later ended, they remained close friends and shared a lasting bond through their children and family. Donna was a vibrant free spirit who lived with warmth, laughter, and an open heart. She found joy in life's simplest moments and turned them into lasting memories-whether taking her children to hidden Hill Country swimming holes from her own childhood, enjoying road trips through the Texas hills, or kayaking at quiet, off-the-beaten-path places she loved. She dedicated nearly 30 years of her life to the dental field. Donna graduated from Dunn Dental Clinic, a major dental facility at Lackland Air Force Base, in 1988, and went on to build a long and meaningful career marked by care, dedication, and compassion.

She is survived by her children, Jenny Offenbaker, David Offenbaker Jr., and Christopher Offenbaker; her grandchildren, John Michael Espinosa and Julie Espinosa; her sisters Lisa Harris and Tracy Middleton; her brothers John Christopher Jenicek, Jay Jenicek, and Michael Middleton; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Louise and Charles Lincoln Middleton; her sister, Debra Maymi; and her lifelong friend and father of her children, David Offenbaker.

Donna will be remembered for her radiant kindness, her adventurous spirit, and her ability to light up any room she entered.

In her honor, may you remember her love for the Texas Hill Country, the simple joys she found in nature, and the way she made ordinary moments feel special. May you carry her spirit forward by living with the same warmth, laughter, and appreciation for life that she gave so freely.
