Eddie Wahrmund,
Jr.
Nov 13, 1948 — Feb 8, 2026
New Braunfels
Eddie Wahrmund, Jr. passed away at his home in New Braunfels on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 77. He was born on November 13, 1948, to Edward E. Wahrmund, Sr. and Zona Elbie (Essary) Wahrmund.
Eddie grew up in San Antonio, Texas. While traditional schooling was never his favorite, he possessed a sharp and inquisitive mind and a deep love of learning. He was a natural problem solver who thrived when fixing old cars, patiently diagnosing and solving the challenges that came with each project. His curiosity never faded, and he maintained a constant thirst for knowledge, always reading and seeking to understand more about the world around him.
Eddie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Following in the footsteps of his family, he was a third-generation law enforcement officer, a role he carried with honor, dedication, and integrity.
He was deeply passionate about helping disabled veterans and wounded warriors, advocating for those who had sacrificed so much in service to others. Above all, Eddie loved his family fiercely. This love extended beyond blood relations to include his brothers and sisters in law enforcement.
Eddie was also a devoted family man, proud patriot, and lifelong learner, leaving behind a legacy of service, curiosity, and unwavering loyalty.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Elizabeth Wahrmund; brother-in-law, Bob Hill; and nephew, Reagan Hill.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Wahrmund; son Trey Wahrmund (Nicole); granddaughter, Evelyn Wahrmund; sister, Gail Hill; niece, Kim Garcia; nephew, Jeff Hill; along with numerous other family and friends.
