Eddie Ybarra
Oliva
Apr 9, 1962 — Jul 12, 2025
Bradenton
Eddie Ybarra Oliva, age 63, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on July 12, 2025.
Born on April 9, 1962, in Pleasanton, Texas, Eddie was a proud Texan at heart and a Floridian by choice. A master plumber by trade and a man who could strike up a conversation with anyone and make fast friends. Eddie was kind and encouraging with his words. He lived life simply and fully. He loved God, his family, fishing, good company and he never passed up the chance to tell a good joke.
His most-loved sayings, "It is what it is," "Thank you, Lord," "Make it happen," and "Carpe diem" captured his grit, gratitude, humor, and go-get-it attitude. Those four phrases will forever ring in the ears of those who knew and loved him.
Eddie is survived by his children and their spouses: Chauncey Oliva (Holly), Jarrell Oliva (Marybeth), Zachary Oliva (Jennifer), and Ivory Arnold (Justin). He was a proud grandfather to Evanna, Evangeline, Lily, Luke, Emma, Gracelyn, and Clarence.
He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Anita (Armilo) Cantu, Andres (Juana) Oliva, Jesi (Michael) Luko, Lupe Sanchez, Abel Oliva, Margie Ramos, Mary (Manuel) Garcia, Ricardo (Sylvia) Oliva, Rosendo Oliva, and Teresa Santos as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Jesusa Oliva; and siblings Albert Oliva, Esperanza Jamie, Jesse Oliva, Martina Contreras, Martin Oliva, Maria Louisa Oliva, Santos Oliva Jr., and Victor Oliva.
