Eduardo Zuniga passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, in San Antonio.  He was born on January 8, 1964, in Charlotte, to Amado and Genoveva Zuniga.   Eduardo was the youngest of three boys.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eloy, and Carlos, then his father, Amado, and his mother, Genoveva.

Anyone who knew Edward knew he had many passions and was a hard worker.  Edward loved hog hunting, horse racing, roosters and shoeing horses.  He loved trying to teach people about his hobbies and would talk to anyone who was willing to listen and learn.

It didn't take much to get Edward to load up the dogs for a quick run.  He loved catching the big hogs but was just as happy getting to see and hear the dogs' work. I remember the phone calls Edward would receive, asking him to take hunters from out-of-state, hog hunting with dogs, and getting to watch them experience one of the things he loved most.

When I first met Edward, he was always taking care of racehorses, it was a love that he had since childhood, as his father enjoyed the same passion.  He would always say "I might not know a lot of things, but I know how to make a horse run" and that I can say I saw time and time again.

I remember so many stories of Edward and his dad shoeing horses, hunting or going to the races.  Edward remembered every hunt, every race, all the rough days on the workover rigs and all of the people who helped him along the way.  For the short time he was here on earth he experienced so much and lived life to his fullest.  Edward will be missed by many.

A celebration of life for Edward will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Lonestar Lodge, located at 4848 Granato Road in Poteet, Texas, starting at 1:00 pm.  The family is asking friends and family to come enjoy a meal and remember Eddie and all his great memories he left to each and all.
