Obituary

Elizabeth Louise (Eichman) Anderson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed peacefully in her sleep January 14, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born August 23, 1955 in Pleasanton, Texas, the oldest child of Marshall 'Gene' Eichman and Stella Schuh Eichman.

Elizabeth was the only daughter of Stella and Marshall Eichman and the big sister to brothers, Michael and Patrick.  As a high school senior, she was introduced to a new family that came to St. John's Lutheran Church, the Andersons.  After learning they lived just blocks away, Elizabeth became good friends with their daughter Lilly, and started dating their son Roy.  The three became inseparable spending hours together between church, school, and home.

Elizabeth and Roy graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1973, and they were married later that year in November. They soon moved to Charlotte, Texas where they worked the family farm and began raising a family.  After Roy joined the Army, the family relocated near Fort Hood; followed by moves to Nacogdoches and Huntsville while he attended college.  As a family of five, Elizabeth, Roy and their girls moved to back to South Texas, finally settling in Pleasanton, where they welcomed their fourth daughter.  After their older three girls graduated from Pleasanton High School, Roy and Elizabeth settled back in Charolotte, almost where their love story began.

Elizabeth enjoyed bowling, cross-stitch, embroidery, church socials and spending time with her grandkids and extended family.  She was the keeper of the important dates, always remembering to send cards or call on birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, Christmas, etc.…she cherished ALL the special days no matter how small. Elizabeth was kind, caring and generous, often giving to others when she had so little for herself.  She lived a simple life, with simple pleasures and will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Eichman and Stella Eichman; and her brothers, Michael Eugene Eichman and Patrick Harvey Eichman.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of fifty years, Roy Clark Anderson Jr; four daughters, Tracey Hollingsworth and husband James; Walieta Belloma and husband Thomas; Jennifer Mann and husband Johnny; and Stephanie Anderson; eight grandchildren, Samantha Parks, Ashlee Oropeza (Steven Oropeza), William Belloma, Alexandra Seiler (Anthony Weir), Garrett Belloma, Joshua Mann, Daniel Hollingsworth and Jordan Mann; and four great-grandchildren, Addison Sambrano, Wade Weir, Evelynn Oropeza and Luke Oropeza.

A memorial service remembering Elizabeth and her brother Patrick Eichman will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 10, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Jourdanton, Texas.
