Elvin Eugene Stinson,88, born on August 17, 1936, in Valley Mills, TX, will be deeply missed as he peacefully passed away with his children by his side on November 21, 2024, in Jourdanton, TX. Elvin was a man of strong faith, having grown up in the Church of Christ and possessing a deep understanding of the Bible. He was an active member of the Pleasanton Church of Christ. In his later years, he dedicated himself to leading a "Bible study with Elvin" for those seeking spiritual guidance, showcasing his unwavering commitment to sharing the word of God with others.

Throughout his career as a banker, Elvin was known for his compassion and willingness to assist those in need, going above and beyond to help customers that others had turned away. He proudly served at the Jourdanton State Bank for 25 years before retiring. His sense of humor and ability to find joy in every situation brought light and laughter to all who knew him. He never met a stranger, and he was a friend to all.

An avid sports fan, Elvin cherished playing golf, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys, supporting the San Antonio Spurs, and celebrating the victories of the Pleasanton Eagles. His love for life and laughter was infectious, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
