Emma Salazar Anger, 70, passed away on August 6, 2023. Emma was born in Leming, Texas on July 16, 1953, to parents Damacio and Tomasa (Moreno) Salazar.

Emma was a kind, humble, gracious, and gentle soul. She graduated from Pleasanton High School. She moved through the world with open hands rather than closed fists. Many would describe her as one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. She was a wonderful, doting mother to her two sons. Ever patient and understanding, she loved being a boy mom. Her entire world revolved around her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She dolled out the best bear hugs and she made you feel like you were the center of the universe when she loved on you. Emma was also a talented crochet artist and loved to create beautiful hand-crafted gifts for those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Armando Salazar, and granddaughter, Desiree Lysett Anger.

She is survived by her sons, Leroy Raymond Anger III (Debbie), Eric Anger (Vanessa); brother, Abel Salazar (Lisa); sister, Estela Prouty (Jesse); grandchildren, Kayley Faith Espinoza, Izyk Daniel Anger, Lorraine Anger, Leroy Anger IV, Katelyn Anger, Xavier Anger, Alanna Anger, Bryan Anger; nieces and nephews, Melissa Prouty, Ashley Salazar-Heathcoe, Frederick Salazar, Gabby Salazar-De La Cruz, Kristen Salazar, Monica Guzman, Alicia Salazar, Angelica Martinez, Rebecca Ambriz, Amanda Salazar, Tracy Mendez, and numerous grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Services are scheduled for Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Hurley Funeral Home chapel, starting at 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with a rosary to recited at 7:00 pm.  A mass will held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, starting at 10:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
