It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Martinez, a cherished matriarch, who departed this life on February 3, 2025, at the age of 75. Emma was born on September 17, 1949, and spent her life in Pleasanton, creating a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Emma was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Juanita Pacheco, sisters, Maryjane Jimenez, Jovita Perez, Victoria Guajardo, Elida Pacheco, and grandson Caleb Reeves.

She is survived by her beloved husband Juan Rodriguez Martinez, Sr.; children, Raymond Martinez (Ginger), Vidal Martinez (Gricelda), Sonia Reeves (William), Edward Martinez (Tiffany), Juan R. Martinez Jr. (Kristi); brothers Willie Pacheco (Arcelia), Reynaldo Pacheco (Lupe); grandchildren, Jennifer Pantoja (Joseph), Victoria Sharpless (Jonathan), Rebecca Martinez, Gabriella Martinez, Zoe Reeves, Keegan Reeves, Damian Martinez, Michael Martinez, Zachary Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Emery Martinez, Niko Martinez; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Emma was a devoted mother full of unwavering support and love. She took immense pride in being a grandmother, showering her grandchildren with affection and guidance, and helping to shape their lives with her quiet strength and compassion. She had a close-knit relationship with her brothers and sisters, and her laughter and infectious spirit lit up gatherings, whether the family was enjoying her delicious cooking or sharing stories. A true risk-taker at heart, Emma found joy in gambling and playing the lottery, always with a twinkle in her eye that reminded us all to embrace life's uncertainties.

Though she valued her privacy, Emma had an unparalleled ability to listen and offer comfort when needed. She kept secrets like a vault, earning the trust of many who sought her counsel. Her patience and understanding made her a confidante to countless friends and family members, who will forever treasure her wisdom.

Visitation for Emma will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Hurley Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 10:30 AM followed by a graveside service at 12:00 PM at San Ysidro Cemetery, Pleasanton, Tx.
