Epimenia "Epi"
Trevino
Jul 1, 1929 — Mar 19, 2024
Poteet
Epimenia B. Trevino, a beloved mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at the age of 94 in Poteet. She was born on July 1, 1929, in Poteet, to Manuel Briones and Juanita Hernandez Briones. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love that touched the lives of all who knew her.
She was the hardest working woman you could ever meet. Raising two kids as a single mother for most of her life, she worked hard to provide them with the best life possible and succeeded. She worked 38 years at Friedrich Air Conditioning as a welder and inspector before retiring to living her best life.
During her retirement years she enjoyed making quilts, cooking for others and working in the yard. If you ever visited her, you know that you definitely wouldn't leave her home hungry and if you weren't hungry, she would tell you to eat again! She helped in raising her grandchildren and later did the same with her great-grandsons. They were the light of her eye. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do for them. She was so giving and would have given the shirt off her back or her last dollar to help someone else. There isn't a person that she wouldn't have welcomed into her house and lent a helping hand.
Epimenia will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will be remembered and cherished forever.
Epimenia was preceded in death her by parents, Manuel Briones and Juanita Hernandez Briones; her late husband's Julian Trevino Sr. and Alex Martinez; daughter, Mary Alice Trevino; sisters, Rafaela Gonzales, Teresa Villa, Aurora Rodriguez, Corina Sanchez; and brothers, Margarito Briones Sr., Domingo Briones, Beto Galvan.
Epimenia is survived by her son, Julian Trevino Jr. (Irene); daughter, Betty Persyn (Jack); grandchildren, Mary Alice Tanner (Joseph), and Christopher Cruz Jr. (Eliza); and great-grandsons, Gabriel Flores, Xavier Flores, Ethan Cruz and Jaiden Cruz; honorary granddaughters, Cierra Sanchez and Alyssa Sanchez.
