Eric Eduardo Martinez, Jr. of Pleasanton passed away February 8, 2023, at the age of 21.  He was born in San Antonio on April 27, 2001, to Maria Tijerina and Eric E. Martinez, Sr.

He was a kind and loving soul who brought laughter to every room.  He loved spending his time fishing and hanging out with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Tijerina.

Eric is survived by his father, Eric E. Martinez, Sr.; sisters, Mercedes Mendoza and Reagen Castillo, and Samiaha Tijerina; brother, Alex Eric Martinez; grandmas, Juanita Mendoza and husband Raymond, and Ruth Beatrice Martinez; grandpa, Luis Tijerina; aunts and uncles, Alex Guerra and wife Elizabeth, Edward Salazar and wife Annette, Juanita Willis and wife Illona, Luis Tijerina and wife Jessica and Rene Tijerina and Michelle Tijerina.  He is also survived by numerous cousins and girlfriend, Madelyn Hernandez.

Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home in Pleasanton on Thursday, March 2, 2023, beginning at 9:00 am.  A rosary will be recited at 12:00 pm, followed by service at 12:30 pm.  Interment will follow at Pleasanton City Cemetery.  Pallbearers for Eric's service will be Edward Salazar, Alejandro Guerra, Daniel Rocha, Isaiya Rocha, Joel Martinez, and Jesse Perea.  Honorary pallbearer will be Alejandro Guerra, Jr.
