Ernestina Robles
Griego
Nov 12, 1938 — Aug 18, 2026
Leming
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Ernestina Robles Griego, who left this world on August 18, 2026, in her home in Leming, Texas. Born on November 12, 1938, Ernestina embodied love, laughter, and creativity.
Ernestina lived life with a joyous spirit, filling every room with warmth and her infectious sense of humor. Those who knew her will remember her as a wonderful storyteller, always ready with a joke to brighten your day. A proud homemaker at heart, she took immense pride in her home, ensuring it was beautifully decorated and welcoming. The smell of fresh coffee, tortillas, and beans was a constant source of comfort for all her family and friends.
Her passion for crafting was unparalleled; whether it was crocheting, sewing blankets and dolls, or her occasional woodworking, Ernestina poured her heart into everything she created. However, her greatest love was for her plants, which she nurtured with the same care and affection she gave to her family. Weekends were often spent thrifting and exploring the aisles of Walmart, where she found joy in the little things in life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Feliciana Robles; siblings Domingo, Jose and Pedro Robles, Catarina Espinoza, Margarita Matoya, Marcelina Garcia, Fidelia Lopez, Louisa Garcia, Jesusa Baraboza, Amada Rodriguez, and Juanita Garcia; her husband Santiago Flores and grandson Bobby Joe Partida.
She leaves behind her devoted children: daughter, Betty Partida (Jim), sons, Joe Griego, Armando Griego (Esther), Cristoval Griego, Frank Griego (Virginia), daughter, Martha Silva (David Valdez), and son, Santiago Flores III (Ericka); 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, creativity, and laughter.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the reciting of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held the following day, 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Leming. As we bid farewell to this extraordinary woman, we remember her sparkling personality and the love she spread wherever she went. We will carry her spirit with us always, and she will forever remain in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Ernestina. You will be missed.
