Estella Hernandez Rodriguez passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born in Pleasanton on January 9, 1949, to Eulalis Hernandez and Elisa (Castillo) Hernandez.

She is preceded in death by her parents Eulalis and Elisa Hernandez, brothers, Dario Barrios, Ralph Barrios, Paul Castillo; Sisters, Elena Montemayor and Janie Rodriguez.

Estella is survived by her daughter, Rosalinda Rodriguez (William Gonzales); sons, Fernando Rodriguez, Eulalio Rodriguez, Roman Rodriguez (Olivia), Jesus Rodriguez, and Alfredo Rodriguez; twenty grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sister, Susie Sendejo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Estella was a vibrant spirit who loved every moment of her life. She had a special place in her heart for music, especially anything by Elvis. She also loved the unique sound of the accordion. As a homemaker, Estella poured her love into everything she did, especially in the kitchen. Her love for cooking will be cherished and remembered by everyone who was lucky enough to taste her culinary creations. An avid gardener, Estella found peace and happiness tending to her plants, nurturing them with the same love she showed to her family.

Estella was not just a homemaker; she was the heart and soul of her family. Her loving nature and deep caring for others brought warmth to all who knew her. She will be extremely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Services for Estella are scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home, starting with a visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm.  On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew Catholic Church starting at 10:00 am, followed by interment at San Ysidro Cemetery.
